Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front frame. Refer to Front Frame Replacement.
  2. Remove the stabilizer shaft link (1) from stabilizer on both sides.
  3. Counterhold at the two flattened areas with the open-ended wrench.

    Note: Note installation position of rubber insulators.

  4. Remove the right and left retaining brackets (2) with the rubber insulators from the front frame.

  5. Object Number: 1937795  Size: MF
  6. Remove the stabilizer (3).

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

    Note: 

       • Stabilizers on vehicles must only be replaced in the assembly with the stabilizer insulators and clamps. Stabilizer insulators must never be greased or oiled.
       • Note the installation position of the rubber insulator - the slot, must point forwards, in direction of travel.

  1. Install the stabilizer to the front frame.
  2. • Position the stabilizer on the front frame.
    • Install the rubber insulator (1) to the stabilizer.
    • Install the retaining bracket.
    • Install the retaining bracket to the front frame.

    Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

  3. Install the stabilizer shaft link to the stabilizer on both sides.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).

    • Use the 2 new nuts.
    • Counterhold at the two flattened areas with the open-ended wrench.
