Power Steering Fluid Reservoir Bracket Replacement ZF

1. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement.



2. Remove the bracket from the steering fluid reservoir.

Remove the 3 nuts (1) and (2).

Note: Do not rethread the studs on the reservoir.

3. Remove the 3 rubber bearings.

Remove the rubber bearings using a suitable tool.

4. Clean the thread in the steering fluid reservoir.

Note: Pay attention for different lengths of rubber bearings.

1. Install rubber bearings to the steering fluid reservoir.

1.1.	Install the 3 rubber bearings using a suitable tool.

1.2.	Insert screw locking compound.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Attach bracket to the steering fluid reservoir.

Tighten
Tighten the 3 nuts to 22 N·m (16 lb ft).

3. Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement.
