The PMM performs internal calculation based on the intergrated ignition switch to identify the current power mode state. If the SCCM determines that there is an incorrect calculation or is inable to determine the correct power mode stated DTC B2961 will be set. The PMM Power Mode Parameters table below illustrates the correct state of these input parameters (circuits) in correspondence to the ignition switch position and can be used to aid in diagnosing power mode mismatch issues:
Ignition Switch Position | Power Mode Transmitted | 'KEY-IN' Status | Accessory Status | Ignition Status | Crank Request |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Off Key Out | Off | Inactive | Inactive | Inactive | Inactive |
Off Key IN | Off | Active | Active | Inactive | Inactive |
Accessory | Accessory | Active | Active | Inactive | Inactive |
Run | Run | Active | Active | Active | Active/Inactive |
Start | Crank Request | Active | Crank | Active | Active |
