Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1387190 Size: SH
  1. Remove upper intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Remove the ignition coils. Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement .
  3. Remove the ground strap and stud.
  4. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose from the cam cover.

  5. Disconnect the fuel feed pipe from the fuel rail. Refer to Fuel Hose/Pipes Replacement - Engine Compartment .

    6. Object Number: 1382305 Size: SH
  6. Remove the camshaft cover bolts.
  7. Remove the camshaft cover.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1382305 Size: SH
  1. Install the camshaft cover and bolts.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the camshaft cover bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  2. Install the ground strap to the camshaft cover.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the ground strap stud to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  3. Install the ignition coils . Refer to Ignition Coil Replacement .
  4. Connect the fuel feed pipe to the fuel rail. Refer to Fuel Hose/Pipes Replacement - Engine Compartment .
  5. Install the fuel pipe bracket.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel pipe bracket bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  6. Connect the PCV hose to the cam cover.
  7. Install the upper intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
