Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the transaxle case side cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 892779 Size: SH

    Important: Retainer clips hold in each of the valve line-ups. Use a small screwdriver in order to remove the retainer clips. Be careful not to score the valve body when removing the retainer clips. Before removing the valve line-ups, inspect each valve line-up for free travel.

  2. Remove the 1-2 shift solenoid retainer clip and the 1-2 shift solenoid with the O-ring.

  3. Remove the 2-3 shift solenoid retainer clip and the 2-3 shift solenoid with the O-ring.

    4. Object Number: 892776 Size: SH
  4. Remove the pressure control solenoid (PCS) retainer clip and the pressure control solenoid with 2 O-rings and screen.

    5. Object Number: 893955 Size: SH
  5. Remove the TCC solenoid retainer clip and the TCC solenoid with 2 O-rings and screen.

Installation Procedure

    Important: Inspect all O-ring seals for damage prior to installation. Replace any damaged O-ring seals.

  1. Install the TCC solenoid with the O-ring and screen and install the TCC solenoid retainer clip.

    2. Object Number: 892776 Size: SH
  2. Install the pressure control solenoid (PCS) with 2 O-rings and screen and the PCS retainer clip.

    3. Object Number: 892777 Size: SH
  3. Install the 2-3 shift solenoid with the O-ring and the 2-3 shift solenoid retainer clip.

    4. Object Number: 892779 Size: SH
  4. Install the 1-2 shift solenoid with the O-ring and the 1-2 shift solenoid retainer clip.
  5. Install the transaxle case side cover. Refer to Control Valve Body Cover Replacement .
  6. Start the engine, warm up the transaxle, and check for leaks.
  7. Inspect for proper fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check .

    8. Important: It is recommended that transmission adaptive pressure (TAP) information be reset.

    Resetting the TAP values using a scan tool will erase all learned values in all cells. As a result, The ECM, PCM or TCM will need to relearn TAP values. Transmission performance may be affected as new TAP values are learned.

  8. Reset the TAP values. Refer to Adapt Function .
