Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 893704 Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Pull back the rear portion of the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  3. Partially remove the rear door window weatherstrip from the rear of the door. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  4. Remove the rear window run channel. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement .
  5. Run the window to the ¾ up position.
  6. Remove the screws from latch mechanism.
  7. Remove the latch mechanism from the rear door.
  8. Disconnect the power door lock electrical connector.
  9. Remove the 2 lock rods from the latch mechanism

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 893704 Size: SH
  1. Install the power door lock electrical connector and 2 lock rods to the latch mechanism.
  2. Position the latch mechanism to the door.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the screws to the latch mechanism.
  4. Tighten the top screw first, the bottom screw second, and the middle screw last.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten screws to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Install the rear door window run channel. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement .
  6. Install the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  7. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  8. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
