Ground is continuously supplied to the low side of the ABS pump motor. The EBTCM activates the ABS pump motor by energizing the pump motor relay, allowing battery voltage to the high side of the motor.
The ignition is ON.
The EBCM detects an open or shorted pump motor circuit, or a fault in the pump motor relay.
• | The ABS telltale will be on. |
• | The ABS control module will disable the ABS, the TCS and the DRP. |
The Conditions for Setting the DTC are no longer present and you use the scan tool Clear DTCs function.
The pump relay and motor are NOT serviceable.
The valve assembly (with control module) must be replaced.
