Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1826284 Size: SH
  1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
  2. Remove the heat shield from the around the electrical connector, if necessary.
  3. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (3) from the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor.

  4. Remove the ECT.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1713085 Size: SH
  1. Install the ECT and tighten to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).

    2. Object Number: 1826284 Size: SH
  2. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (3) to the ECT sensor.
  3. Install the heat shield around the electrical connector, if necessary.
  4. Fill the cooling system as needed. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
