For 1990-2009 cars only
- Remove the glove compartment door lock. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
- Remove the tumblers from the lock cylinder by pulling with needle nose pliers.
- Select the correct lock tumblers for the desired code by the number stamped on the tumbler.
- Install the lock tumblers, by applying downward pressure until locked into position.
- To check the coding of the cylinder, insert the key. If the coding is correct, all tumblers except the retainer tumbler will be flush with the lock cylinder.
