Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 928644 Size: SH

    Important: If the accessory belt is being replaced, the right front engine mount must be removed. The engine must be supported upon removal of the engine mount.

  1. Remove the right front engine mount and engine mount bracket from the engine block. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 898882 Size: SH
  2. Use a 15-mm wrench to rotate the tensioner pulley clockwise while sliding the drive belt off the tensioner or water pump pulley.
  3. Remove the drive belt.
  4. Clean and inspect the serpentine drive belt surfaces.

Installation Procedure
  1. Route the belt around all pulleys, except the tensioner or water pump.

    2. Important: Ensure that the drive belt is aligned into the proper grooves on the drive pulley.

  2. Use a 15 mm wrench to rotate the tensioner pulley clockwise.
  3. Slip the belt over the idler or water pump pulley.

  4. Install the right front engine mount and engine mount bracket to the engine block. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement .
