  1. Disconnect inoperative window switch.
  2. Using a test light, backprobe between B+ to terminal A of the inoperative window switch harness connector.
  3. Turn the ignition switch on.

Is the test light on?

Check for a poor connection or open in the following:

    • (LR) circuit 169.
    • (RR) circuit 171.
    • (RF) circuit 167.

Is there a poor connection or open in the circuit?

    • (LR) circuit 169.
    • (RR) circuit 171.
    • (RF) circuit 167.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the LF window switch. Refer to Door Lock and Side Window and Outside Rearview Mirror Remote Control Switch Replacement for service procedure.

With the test light in the same place, press and hold the inoperative window down switch, on the LF window switch.

Is the test light on?

Go to Step 6

Check for a short to ground in the following:

    • (LR) circuit 169.
    • (RR) circuit 171.
    • (RF) circuit 167.

Is there a short in the circuit?

Go to Step 7

Repair a short in the following:

    • (LR) circuit 169.
    • (RR) circuit 171.
    • (RF) circuit 167.

Is the repair complete?

Using a test light, probe between B+ to terminal E of the inoperative window switch harness connector.

Is the test light on?

Is there a poor connection or open in the circuit?

Is the test light on?

Is there a short in the circuit?

  1. Using a test light, probe between terminal B of the inoperative window switch harness connector and ground.
  2. Turn the ignition switch on.

Is the test light on?

Repair poor connection or open in circuit 1307 between S307 and terminal B of the inoperative window switch harness connector.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Reconnect the inoperative window switch connector.
  2. Disconnect the inoperative window's regulator motor.
  3. Using a test light, probe the inoperative window regulator motor harness connector terminal A to terminal B.
  4. Turn the ignition switch on.
  5. Press the inoperative window switch UP and then DOWN.

Is the test light on in both positions?

Replace the inoperative window's regulator motor. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement or Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement for service procedure.

    • (RR) circuit 671.
    • (RF) circuit 667.
