Engine Mount Replacement Torque Axis

Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 28467-360 Engine Support Fixture

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  2. Install the J 28467-360 .
  3. For Engine Code 1, remove the ignition module. Set the module aside.
  4. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Accessory Drive Belts Replacement .
  5. For Engine Code 1, remove the supercharger drive belt tensioner.
  6. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Section 3B. Set the power steering pump aside.

  8. Remove the torque axis engine mount.
  9. Remove the nuts from the engine mount bracket.
  10. Remove the studs from the engine mount bracket.
  11. Remove the torque axis engine mount bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 48535  Size: SH
  1. Install the torque axis engine mount bracket.
  2. Install the studs to the engine mount bracket.
  3. Install the nuts to the engine mount bracket.
  4. Tighten

        • Tighten the upper nut to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).
        • Tighten the lower nut to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the torque axis engine mount.
  6. Install the power steering pump. Refer to Section 3B.
  7. For Engine Code 1, install the supercharger belt tensioner.
  8. For Engine Code 1, install the ignition module.
  9. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Accessory Drive Belts Replacement .
  10. Remove the J 28467-360 .
  11. Connect the negative battery cable.

Removal Procedure

  2. Install the J 28467-360 .
  3. Remove the ignition module and set it aside, for Engine Code 1 vehicles only.
  4. Remove the drive belt.
  5. Remove the supercharger belt tensioner, for Engine Code 1 vehicles only. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  6. Remove the power steering pump and set it aside. Refer to SECTION 3B.
  7. Remove the torque axis engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement .

  9. Remove the nuts and studs from the engine mount bracket.
  10. Remove the torque axis engine mount bracket.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 48535  Size: SH
  1. Install the torque axis engine mount bracket, studs, and nuts.
  2. Tighten

        • Tighten the two front nuts to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).
        • Tighten the rear nut to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure.   5. Install the supercharger belt tensioner, for Engine Code 1 only. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  6. Install the ignition module, for Engine Code 1 only.
  7. Install the drive belt.
  8. Remove the J 28467-360 .
  9. Connect the negative battery cable.
