Removal Procedure

The rear door stationary window is part of the door window weatherstrip. If the stationary window needs service, replace the entire door window weatherstrip.

  1. Place the window in the full down position.
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Rear Side Door Inner Panel Lower Energy Absorber Replacement
  5. Remove the rear door inner sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Remove the stationary window molding. Refer to Window Molding Replacement - Rear Door Stationary .

  7. Object Number: 315943  Size: SH
  8. Remove the window weatherstrip bolts.

  9. Object Number: 315946  Size: SH
  10. Remove the window weatherstrip from the door.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the window weatherstrip to the door starting in the corner. Work in both directions.

  2. Object Number: 315943  Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the window weatherstrip bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the door window weatherstrip bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  5. Close the window.
  6. Inspect the glass in order to ensure the window is properly positioned in the window weatherstrip.
  7. Install the stationary window molding. Refer to Window Molding Replacement - Rear Door Stationary .
  8. Install the rear door inner sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  9. Install the inner energy absorber pad. Refer to Rear Side Door Inner Panel Lower Energy Absorber Replacement
  10. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  11. Install the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
