Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .

    3. Caution: Standard shop practices, particularly eye protection, should be followed during these operations to avoid personal injury.

    Important: Support the back side of the rivet while driving the mandrel out to avoid bending the metal.

  3. Use a center punch to remove the rivet mandrel.

    4. Object Number: 308441 Size: SH
  4. Remove the mandrel from the door to avoid a possible rattle.
  5. Drill out the rivet (2) using a 6.35 mm (1/4 in) drill bit.

    6. Object Number: 315751 Size: MH
  6. Remove the handle rod from the handle.
  7. Remove the lock rod from the handle.
  8. Remove the handle from the inner panel.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 315751 Size: MH
  1. Install the handle by inserting the tabs into the inner panel slots.
  2. Install the lock rod to the handle and close the clip to secure.
  3. Install the handle rod to the handle and close the clip to secure.

    4. Object Number: 308441 Size: SH
  4. Install the rivet (2).
  5. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  6. Install the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
