Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rubber conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  4. Remove the rear door inner sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  5. Remove the stationary window molding.
  6. Remove the rear door garnish molding. Refer to Rear Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  7. Remove the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  8. Remove the stationary window. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement .
  9. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  10. Remove the inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  11. Remove the lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement .
  12. Remove the door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement .
  13. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  14. Remove the door armrest bracket. Refer to Armrest Bracket Replacement .
  15. Remove the door frame weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  16. Disconnect the wiring harness.
  17. Remove the conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  18. Remove the wiring harness.
  19. Support the door.
  20. Remove the door side hinge. Refer to Front Side Door Hinge Replacement .
  21. Remove the door.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the door side hinge.
  2. Use the aid of an assistant in order to install the door.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Important: Use Loctite® Blue GM P/N 12345382 or equivalent prior to installing fasteners.

  4. Install the door side hinge.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the door side hinge bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  6. Remove the support.
  7. Install the conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  8. Connect the wiring harness.
  9. Install the door frame weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  10. Install the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  11. Install the door armrest bracket. Refer to Armrest Bracket Replacement .
  12. Install the door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Door Opening Weatherstrip Replacement .
  13. Install the lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement
  14. Install the inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  15. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  16. Install the stationary window. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement .
  17. Install the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  18. Install the rear door garnish molding. Refer to Rear Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  19. Install the stationary window molding.
  20. Install the rear door inner sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  21. Install the rubber conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  22. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  23. Install the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  24. Adjust the door. Refer to Rear Door Adjustment .
