Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
  2. Remove the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side.
  3. Remove the right instrument panel insulator. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Right Side.
  4. Remove the left instrument panel trim cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement.
  5. Remove the instrument panel access trim cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement.
  6. Remove the right instrument panel trim plate bolt cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Plate Bolt Cover Replacement - Right Side.
  7. Remove the left instrument panel trim plate bolt cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Plate Bolt Cover Replacement - Left Side.
  8. Remove the Defroster Air Outlet. Refer to Defroster Air Outlet Replacement.
  9. Remove the steering column filler panel. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement.
  10. Remove the driver knee bolster. Refer to Driver Knee Bolster Replacement.
  11. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
  12. Remove the instrument panel lower trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Plate Replacement.
  13. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement.
  14. Remove the instrument panel cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement.
  15. Remove the rear floor console. Refer to Rear Floor Console Replacement.
  16. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement.
  17. Remove the driver information bezel. Refer to Driver Information Display Bezel Replacement.
  18. Remove the radio. Refer to Radio Replacement.
  19. Remove the heater and A/C control assembly. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement or Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement.
  20. Remove the communication interface module. Refer to Communication Interface Module Replacement.
  21. Remove the steering column. Refer to Steering Column Replacement.
  22. Remove the radio front center speaker. Refer to Radio Front Speaker Replacement.
  23. Remove the inflatable restraint instrument panel module. The air bag is attached to the bottom side of the trim pad and cannot be removed until the trim pad is separated from the instrument panel. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Instrument Panel Module Replacement.
