Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 259111  Size: SH
  1. Ensure the window is in the full down position.
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  5. Remove the inner and outer belt moldings. Refer to Molding Replacement - Window Belt .
  6. Remove the window run channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement .
  7. Grasp the window weatherstrip at the lower rear corner.
  8. Pull the weatherstrip up from the door frame far enough to expose the door applique fasteners.
  9. Remove the 2 screws (3) from the inside edge of the door frame.
  10. Remove the 2 screws (3) from the run channel frame.
  11. Pull the lower edge of the applique forward and down in order to remove the applique (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Insert the top of the applique (1) under the window run channel retainer (2).
  2. Slide the bottom of the applique (1) back until the applique is seated against the door frame, being careful not to damage the paint.
  3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the 2 screws (3) in the run channel frame.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the two screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  6. Install the rear portion of the weather strip.
  7. Slide the end down into the door frame, making sure the window is in the door frame.
  8. Install the 2 screws (3) in the inside edge of the door frame.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the two screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  10. Install the window run channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement .
  11. Install the inner and outer belt molding. Refer to Molding Replacement - Window Belt .
  12. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  13. Install the garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  14. Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
