Did you review the cellular telephone operation and perform the necessary inspections?

  1. Place the cellular telephone in the docking station.
  2. Press the phone switch and hold until the Voice Recognition System announces Ready.
  3. In a normal voice, say the following:
  4. 3.1. Dial
    3.2. Star 6, 1, 1.
    3.3. Call (VR says Dialing)

Does the call connect to the cellular provider?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems

Go to Step 3

Inspect for poor coaxial cable connections at the cellular telephone module and the cellular telephone handset.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 10

Inspect the cellular telephone microphone and related circuits for proper operation. Refer to Cellular Telephone - Hands Free Operation Inoperative .

Inspect for poor connections at the harness connector of the cellular telephone handset. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections and Connector Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Test the cellular telephone operation using a known good cellular telephone handset.

Is the voice now transmitted?
