Notice: Do not attempt to straighten any kinked nylon fuel lines. Replace any kinked nylon fuel feed or return pipes in order to prevent damage to the vehicle.
Important: Do Not attempt to repair sections of nylon fuel pipes. If the nylon fuel pipes are damaged, replace them.
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in the Preface section.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the clamp to 3.5 N·m (31 lb in).
Notice: Always re-attach the fuel lines and fuel filter with all original type fasteners and hardware.

Tighten
Tighten the fuel tank strap bolts (4). Tighten the bolts to 42 N·m
(31 lb ft).
Tighten
Tighten the fuel tank filler pipe attaching bolt to 9 N·m
(80 lb in).
Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.
13.1. | Turn the ignition switch ON for 2 seconds. |
13.2. | Turn the ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds. |
13.3. | Turn the ignition switch ON. |
13.4. | Check for fuel leaks. |
Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).
