Preliminary Procedures Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling. Remove the instrument panel retainer assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Retainer Replacement. Remove the brake pedal assembly. Refer to Brake Pedal Assembly Replacement. Remove the instrument panel center support bracket. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Support Bracket Replacement.
1	Instrument Panel Carrier to Body Nut (Qty: 4) Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section. Tighten 25 N·m (18 lb ft)
2	Instrument Panel Carrier to HVAC Module Bolt/Screw (Qty: 6) Tighten 9 N·m (80 lb in)
3	Instrument Panel Carrier to Body Bolt (Qty: 7) Tighten 25 N·m (18 lb ft)
4	Instrument Panel Carrier Assembly Procedure Note location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal of the instrument panel carrier assembly to ensure proper reinstallation. Disconnect the wiring harness from the instrument panel carrier assembly. With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel carrier assembly from the vehicle. If replacing the instrument panel carrier assembly, transfer all necessary components.
