Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 287612 Size: SH
  1. Remove the hood latch bracket. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement in Body Front End.
  2. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Remove the headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  4. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
  5. Remove the condenser mounting bolts.

  6. Remove the radiator brackets.
  7. Disconnect the upper and lower engine oil cooler hose from the radiator. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .

    8. Object Number: 130761 Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the outlet radiator hose from the engine.

    9. Object Number: 130761 Size: SH
  9. Disconnect the upper inlet hose from the engine.
  10. Tilt the radiator forward.
  11. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the cooling fans.

  12. Remove the cooling fan assembly from the radiator.

  13. Disconnect the generator inlet cooler hose from the radiator.

    14. Object Number: 130758 Size: SH
  14. Remove the outlet radiator hose from the radiator.

    15. Object Number: 130760 Size: SH
  15. Remove the inlet radiator hose from the radiator.

    16. Object Number: 130784 Size: SH
  16. Remove the radiator.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the cooling fan assembly to the radiator.

    2. Object Number: 130760 Size: SH
  2. Install the inlet radiator hose to the radiator.

    3. Object Number: 130758 Size: SH
  3. Install the outlet radiator hose to the radiator.

    4. Object Number: 130784 Size: SH
  4. Install the radiator to vehicle.

    5. Object Number: 130781 Size: SH
  5. Connect the generator inlet cooler line to the radiator.
  6. Connect the electrical connectors to the cooling fans.

    7. Object Number: 130761 Size: SH
  7. Connect the lower radiator hose to the engine.

    8. Object Number: 130761 Size: SH
  8. Install the upper radiator hose to the engine.
  9. Install the air cleaner. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
  10. Connect the upper and lower engine oil cooler hose to the radiator. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement .

  11. Install the radiator brackets.

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  12. Install the condenser mounting bolts.

    13. Tighten
    Tighten the condenser mounting bolts to 13 N·m (10 lb ft).

  13. Install the hood latch bracket. Refer to Hood Primary and Secondary Latch Replacement in Body Front End.
  14. Install the headlamps. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  15. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
