  1. Turn the headlamp switch to the ON position.
  2. Backprobe the underhood junction block connector C2 with a DMM from cavity D1 (DK GRN) to ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 3

Backprobe the underhood junction block connector C2 with a DMM from cavity D1 (DK GRN) to the headlamp dimmer switch connector C202 cavity B8 (LT BLU).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 4

  1. Place the headlamp dimmer switch in the position for low beams.
  2. Backprobe the underhood junction block connector C2 with a DMM from cavity D1 (DK GRN) to the headlamp dimmer switch connector C202 cavity B9 (PNK/WHT).

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Go to Step 5

Replace the underhood junction block. Refer to Underhood Fuse Block Replacement in Engine Electrical.

Is the underhood junction block replacement complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1483 (DK GRN) between the underhood junction block and the rear junction block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

--

  1. Disconnect the headlamp dimmer switch connector C202.
  2. Disconnect the dash integration module (DIM) connector C1
  3. Connect a DMM from the from the headlamp dimmer switch connector C202 cavity B8 (LT BLU) to the DIM connector C1 cavity B4 (LT BLU).

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

0.5 ohms

Go to Step 8

Replace the dash integration module (DIM). Refer to Body Control Module Replacement in Body Control System.

Is the DIM replacement complete?

Replace the headlamp dimmer switch. Refer to Turn Signal and Multifunction Switch Assembly - Off Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column-Tilt.

Is the headlamp dimmer switch replacement complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1485 (LT BLU) between the headlamp dimmer switch and the DIM. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the circuit repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 1483 (DK GRN) between the underhood junction block and the rear junction block. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Disconnect the dash integration module (DIM) connector C1
  2. Remove the HDLP LO BM relay from the underhood junction block.
  3. Backprobe with a DMM from the from the underhood junction block connector C2 cavity D4 (PNK/WHT) to the DIM connector C1 cavity B4 (PNK/WHT).

Is the resistance less than the specified value?

0.5 ohms
