  1. Verify that the park brake is disengaged.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the START position.

Does the PARK indicator illuminate briefly when the ignition switch is turned to START?

Engage the park brake.

Does the PARK indicator illuminate?

Go to Brake Warning Indicator, Message, and Chime Inoperative

  1. Disconnect the park brake switch connector.
  2. Turn on the ignition.
  3. Measure the voltage between the park brake switch connector terminal A and ground.

Is the voltage within the specified range?

10-15 V

Repair an open in CKT 1134 (LT BLU) or in B+. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
