Important: This parking brake assembly does not have a brake shoe adjusting screw. Adjustment is done at the cam lever-to-bell crank clevis.

  1. Block the vehicle wheels.
  2. Fully release the parking brake.
  3. Check the parking brake for holding ability with the vehicle in neutral (N).
  4. If adjustment is required, make sure the actuator assembly is in the fully released position and the actuator jam nut has been installed to maximum thread engagement (bottoms out). If installing a new park brake cable, refer to Park Brake Cable Replacement . Refer to Park Brake Cable Service/Adjustment when cable needs adjustment.
