Important: If you are removing the rear door only. Perform steps 9-13.

1. Remove the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
2. Remove the rear door wiring harness. Refer to Rear Side Door Wiring Harness Replacement .
3. Remove the rear door lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement .
4. Remove the rear door window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
5. Remove the rear door outside handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
6. Remove the rear door hinges. Refer to Rear Side Door Hinge Replacement .
7. Remove the rear door check link. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement .
8. Remove the rear door stationary window. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement .



9. Using a small flat-bladed tool, remove the rear door wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the rear door pillar.
10. Disconnect the rear door wiring harness electrical connector (1).



11. Remove the rear door check link bolt.



12. Remove the rear door hinge intermediate bolts.
13. Remove the rear door with an assistant.

Important: If you are replacing the rear door only. Perform steps 1-5.

1. Position the rear door to the rear door hinges with an assistant.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the rear door hinge intermediate bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).




3. Install the rear door check link bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).




4. Connect the rear door wiring harness electrical connector (1).
5. Press the rear door wiring harness electrical connector (1) into the rear door pillar until fully seated.
6. Install the rear door stationary window. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement .
7. Install the rear door check link. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement .
8. Install the rear door hinges. Refer to Rear Side Door Hinge Replacement .
9. Install the rear door outside handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
10. Install the rear door window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
11. Install the rear door lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement .
12. Install the rear door wiring harness. Refer to Rear Side Door Wiring Harness Replacement .
13. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
