Park Brake Cables Front

1. Remove the parking brake lever. Refer to Parking Brake Lever Replacement .
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Remove the RH muffler. Refer to Muffler in Engine Exhaust.
4. Disconnect the rear parking brake cables from the equalizer.
5. Disconnect the front parking brake cable from the cable retainer.



6. Remove the front parking brake cable bracket from the tunnel.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Remove the front cable from the vehicle
9. Remove the pass-through grommet and front bracket from the cable.

1. Install the front bracket and pass-through grommet to the cable.
2. Install the front parking brake cable to the vehicle. Insure the pass-through grommet is properly installed.
3. Raise the vehicle.
4. Install the front parking brake cable bracket to the tunnel.



5. Connect the front parking brake cable to the parking brake cable retainer.
6. Connect the rear parking brake cables to the equalizer.
7. Install the RH muffler. Refer to Muffler in Engine Exhaust.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Install the parking brake lever. Refer to Parking Brake Lever Replacement .

Park Brake Cables Rear

1. Disable the parking brake automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling .
2. Raise the vehicle.
3. Remove the RH muffler. Refer to Muffler in Engine Exhaust.
4. Disconnect the rear parking brake cable at the retainer and equalizer.



5. Remove the rear parking brake cable from the rear suspension mounting bracket.
6. Remove the rear parking brake cable retainer nut.
7. Remove the rear parking brake cable from the vehicle.

1. Install the rear parking brake cable to the vehicle.
2. Install the rear parking brake cable retainer nut.



3. Connect the rear parking brake cable to the rear suspension mounting bracket.



4. Connect the rear parking brake cable to the retainer and equalizer.
5. Install the RH muffler. Refer to Muffler in Engine Exhaust.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Enable parking brake automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling .
