Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery. Refer to

Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 82075 Size: SH
  1. Install the A/C condenser into the retaining clips on the radiator.
  2. Install the radiator support.
  3. Install the upper radiator support. Refer to Radiator Support Replacement in Engine Cooling.

  4. Object Number: 82085 Size: SH
  5. Remove the caps or plugs from the evaporator hose and the condenser and connect the tube onto the condenser.
  6. Coat all the new O-rings with clean 525 refrigerant oil prior to assembly.

    Tighten
Tighten the evaporator hose nut to the condenser to 27 N·m (20 lb ft).

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Install the air intake duct assembly.
  8. Connect the MAF wiring connector.

  9. Object Number: 82082 Size: SH
  10. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  11. Install the fasteners that retain the radiator support to the front fascia.
  12. Remove the caps or plugs from the compressor hose and the condenser and connect the hose to the condenser.
  13. Coat all the new O-rings with clean 525 refrigerant oil prior to assembly.

    Tighten
Tighten the compressor hose to the condenser to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).

  14. Lower the vehicle.
  15. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to
