Have the RKE System Transmitters passed the Transmitter Test?

  1. Disconnect the connector at the LF door lock actuator motor.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the LF door lock actuator motor connector cavity A, CKT 294/694 (TAN) and a known good ground.
  3. Press the unlock button on the RKE System transmitter.

Is voltage present?

  1. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the LF door lock actuator motor connector cavity A, CKT 294/694 (TAN) and RKE module connector cavity A.
  2. Test for continunity. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity present?

Repair the open in CKT 294/694 (TAN) wire between the remote control door lock receiver connector cavity A and the LF door lock actuator motor. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Replace the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Receiver Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go to Step 9

Replace the LF door lock actuator motor. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.
