1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
2. Disconnect the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm connector.
3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.

Is the fasten belt indicator ON?

Using a DMM, measure the voltage between the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm connector terminal C2 and the ground.

Is the voltage less than the specified value?

2 V

1. Fasten the driver's seat belt buckle.
2. Measure the resistance between the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm electrical connector terminal A2 (harness side) and ground.

Is the voltage equal to the specified value?

Infinite

1. Disconnect the driver's seat belt buckle electrical connector.
2. Measure the resistance between the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm electrical connector terminal A2 and ground.

Is the voltage less than the specified value?

Infinite

Go to Step 8

Repair short to B+ in CKT 234.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the seat belt/ ignition key/ lamps alarm. Refer to Multifunction Alarm Module Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Repair the short to ground in circuit 238.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the driver seat belt switch. Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Replacement - Left Front in Seat Belts.

Service the instrument cluster. Refer to Instrument Cluster System Check .

1. Ensure the ignition switch is in the LOCK position?
2. Reconnect the connectors and reinstall the components that were removed.
