Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2005 🢒 SSR 🢒 Body 🢒 Seats 🢒 Driver or Passenger Seat Cushion Heater Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front seat assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement .
  2. Remove the front finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  4. Remove the seat switch bezel. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Adjuster Switch Bezel Replacement .

  5. Remove the J-Strip (1) securing the rear of the seat cushion cover to the frame.

    6. Object Number: 1293229 Size: SH
  6. Remove the push pins (2) securing the seat cover to the frame.

    7. Object Number: 1200371 Size: SH
  7. Remove the seat belt buckle bolt (2).
  8. Disconnect the black electrical connector from the seat belt buckle.
  9. Pull the seat belt buckle harness back through the hole in the seat adjuster assembly.
  10. Remove the seat belt buckle assembly by pulling it out through the slot in the seat cushion cover.

  11. Remove the push pins (1) securing the seat cushion cover on each side of the seat cushion frame.

    12. Object Number: 1200364 Size: SH
  12. Release the front J-strip (1).
  13. Disconnect the seat cushion heater electrical connector, if equipped.
  14. Remove the seat cushion cover and pad from the seat cushion frame.

  15. Remove the hog rings (3) securing the cover (1) to the pad (4).
  16. Remove the seat cover from the seat pad.

  17. Remove the heater element (1) by peeling the element off the pad (2).
  18. Pull the heater element electrical harness through the hole (3) in the pad.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1293752 Size: SH
  1. Install the heater element electrical harness through the hole (3) in the pad.
  2. Install the adhesive-backed heater element (1) to the pad (2) by pressing in place.
  3. Install the seat cushion to the seat cushion frame.
  4. Install the seat cover to the seat pad.

  5. Install the hog rings (3) securing the cover to the pad. Ensure that rings go around the rod (2) in the seat cover.
  6. Using a side to side motion, carefully pull the seat cushion cover over the seat cushion frame.
  7. Connect the seat cushion heater electrical connector.

  8. Install the front J-strip (1).

  9. Install the push pins (1) that retain the seat cushion cover to the side of the seat cushion frame.
  10. Install the seat belt buckle assembly through the slot in the seat cushion cover.

    11. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  11. Install the seat belt buckle to the seat with the bolt (2).

    12. Tighten
    Tighten the seat belt buckle bolt to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  12. Run the seat belt buckle electrical harness through the seat adjuster.
  13. Connect the electrical connector to the seat belt buckle.

  14. Install the rear seat cover flaps to the frame with the push pins (2).

  15. Install the J-Strip (1) on the rear of the seat cover to the frame.
  16. Install the seat switch bezel. Refer to Driver Seat and Passenger Seat Adjuster Switch Bezel Replacement .
  17. Install the seat cushion outer trim panel. Refer to Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement .
  18. Install the front finish panel. Refer to Front Seat Front Finish Panel Replacement .
  19. Install the front seat assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement .
