Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 63780 Size: SH
  1. Disconnect the harness grommet from the hinge pillar.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  3. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  4. Remove the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  5. Remove the front fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement in Body Front End.

    6. Object Number: 63776 Size: SH
  6. Mark the location of the door hinges on the hinge pillar.
  7. Support the door.
  8. Remove the bolts attaching the door hinges to the hinge pillar.
  9. Remove the door from the vehicle.
  10. If replacing the door, remove the following parts:
    11. • The door handle bezel -- Refer to Door Handle Bezel Replacement .
    • Pull handle replacement -- Refer to Pull Handle Replacement .
    • The door trim handle -- Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
    • The water deflector -- Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
    • The door hinges -- Refer to Door Hinge Replacement .
    • The check link -- Refer to Door Check Link Replacement .
    • The inside door handle -- Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement .
    • The lock cylinder -- Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .
    • The door latch -- Refer to Door Latch Replacement .
    • The door wiring harness -- Refer to Front Side Door Wiring Harness Replacement .
    • The door window -- Refer to Door Window Replacement .
    • The window regulator -- Refer to Door Window Regulator Replacement .
    • The window belt outer sealing strip -- Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
    • The door weatherstrip -- Refer to Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
    • The power mirrors -- Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .

Installation Procedure
  1. If replacing the door, install the following parts:
    2. • The door handle bezel -- Refer to Door Handle Bezel Replacement .
    • Pull handle replacement -- Refer to Pull Handle Replacement .
    • The door trim handle -- Refer to Door Trim Panel Replacement .
    • The water deflector -- Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
    • The door hinges -- Refer to Door Hinge Replacement .
    • The check link -- Refer to Door Check Link Replacement .
    • The inside door handle --Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement .
    • The lock cylinder -- Refer to Door Lock Cylinder Replacement .
    • The door latch -- Refer to Door Latch Replacement .
    • The door wiring harness -- Refer to Front Side Door Wiring Harness Replacement .
    • The door window -- Refer to Door Window Replacement .
    • The window regulator -- Refer to Door Window Regulator Replacement .
    • The window belt outer sealing strip -- Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
    • The door weatherstrip -- Refer to Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
    • The power mirrors -- Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .

  2. Position the door to the opening aligning the door hinges to the marks.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the bolts attaching the door hinges to the hinge pillar.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the door hinge to hinge pillar bolts to 18 N·m (25 lb ft).

  4. Install the front fender. Refer to Front Fender Replacement in Body Front End.
  5. Install the front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement in Body Front End.
  6. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.

    7. Object Number: 63780 Size: SH
  7. Connect the harness electrical connectors.
  8. Install the harness grommet into the hinge pillar aligning the depth mark with the edge of the opening in the hinge pillar.
  9. Adjust the door as necessary.
  10. Adjust the door window as necessary.
