Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the midgate assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Midgate Replacement .
  2. Place the midgate assembly on a clean surface.
  3. Remove the midgate inner panel. Refer to Midgate Inner Panel Replacement .
  4. Remove the midgate window sealing strip. Refer to Midgate Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  5. Remove the midgate window. Refer to Midgate Window Replacement .
  6. Remove the midgate window regulator. Refer to Midgate Window Regulator Replacement .
  7. Remove the midgate window run channels. Refer to Midgate Window Channel Replacement .
  8. Remove the midgate sliding hinge filler panel. Refer to Midgate Sliding Hinge Filler Panel Replacement .

    9. Object Number: 1033832 Size: SH
  9. Remove the nuts retaining the midgate outer panel to the midgate structure.
  10. Remove the midgate outer panel from the midgate.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1033832 Size: SH
  1. Install the midgate outer panel to the midgate assembly.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the nuts retaining the midgate outer panel to the midgate structure.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the outer panel nuts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  3. Install the midgate sliding hinge filler panel. Refer to Midgate Sliding Hinge Filler Panel Replacement .
  4. Install the midgate window run channels. Refer to Midgate Window Channel Replacement .
  5. Install the midgate window regulator. Refer to Midgate Window Regulator Replacement .
  6. Install the midgate window. Refer to Midgate Window Replacement .
  7. Install the midgate window sealing strip. Refer to Midgate Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  8. Install the midgate inner panel. Refer to Midgate Inner Panel Replacement .
  9. Install the midgate assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Midgate Replacement .
