J 36660-A Electronic Torque Angle Meter

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 66929  Size: LH
  1. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  2. Remove the A/C compressor from the power steering pump bracket, if equipped, and set it aside. Refer to Compressor Replacement in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  3. Remove the lower intake manifold. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Replacement or Lower Intake Manifold Replacement .
  4. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement.
  5. Remove the valve rocker arm cover. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Right Side .
  6. Remove the valve rocker arms and valve push rods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
  7. Remove the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement in Power Steering System.
  8. Remove the power steering pump mounting bracket.
  9. Disconnect the wiring bracket (3) from the rear of the right cylinder head.
  10. For the right side cylinder head, remove the following components:
  11. 10.1. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement in Engine Electrical.
    10.2. Remove the generator and drive belt tensioner mounting bracket.
    10.3. Remove the oil indicator tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement .

  12. Remove the cylinder head and the gasket. Refer to Cylinder Head Removal (Left) and Cylinder Head Removal (Right).
  13. Clean all sealing surfaces.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 11482  Size: SH
  1. Install the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Installation (Left) and Cylinder Head Installation (Right).
  2. Install the valve rocker arms and the valve push rods. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm and Push Rod Replacement .
  3. For the left cylinder head, install the power steering pump mounting bracket.
  4. Install the power steering pump pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pulley Replacement in Power Steering System.
  5. For the right cylinder head, install the generator and drive belt tensioner mounting bracket.
  6. Install the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Installation (Left) or Refer to Exhaust Manifold Installation (Right).
  7. Install Oil Indicator Tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement .
  8. Install the lower intake manifold. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Replacement or Lower Intake Manifold Replacement .
  9. Install the valve rocker arm covers. Refer to Valve Rocker Arm Cover Replacement - Right Side .
  10. Install the A/C compressor, if equipped. Refer to Compressor Replacement in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
  11. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
