  1. Ensure that the Transmitter Programming procedure was properly followed. Refer to Transmitter Programming .
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the data link connector (DLC), cavity 4, and a known good ground.
  3. Test for continuity. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity present?

Repair the open in CKT 150 (BLK) between the DLC, cavity 4, and ground G201. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the remote control door lock receiver connector.
  2. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the DLC, cavity 8 for CKT 1455 (BLK/WHT), and a known good ground.

Does the meter indicate more than the specified value?

Repair the short to voltage in CKT 1455 (BLK/WHT) between the DLC and the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the DLC cavity 8 for CKT 1455 (BLK/WHT), and a known good ground.
  2. Test for continuity. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is continuity present?

Repair the short to ground in CKT 1455 (BLK/WHT) between the DLC and the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

  1. Connect a J 39200 digital multimeter between the DLC, cavity 8, and the remote control door lock receiver connector, cavity L, for CKT 1455 (BLK/WHT).
  2. Test for continuity. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

  1. Inspect the remote control door lock receiver for the following conditions:
  2. • Improper installation
    • Improper connections
    • Improper power supply
    • Improper ground
  3. Repair any conditions. Refer to Circuit Testing , Connector Repairs , and Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Was a fault found and corrected?

Replace the remote control door lock receiver. Refer to Receiver Replacement .
