DW-110-060 Engine Support Fixture

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 1860021  Size: SH
  1. Remove the battery and tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.
  2. Drain the transaxle fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Replacement.
  3. Remove the air filter housing.
  4. Remove the engine control module (ECM) bracket. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement.

  5. Object Number: 1860002  Size: SH
  6. Disconnect the shift control cable from the transaxle. Refer to Shift Control Cable Replacement.

  7. Object Number: 1860056  Size: SH
  8. Disconnect the transmission range (TR) switch electrical connector (1).
  9. Disconnect the transaxle wiring electrical connector (2).
  10. Disconnect the input speed sensor electrical connector (3) and the output speed sensor electrical connector (4).

  12. Remove the upper 2 transaxle-to-engine bolts.
  13. Remove the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement.

  14. Object Number: 1860098  Size: SH
  15. Install the DW-110-060 engine support fixture .
  16. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  17. Remove the engine under covers. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement.

  19. Remove the engine crossmember. Refer to Engine Front Crossmember Replacement.
  20. Remove the exhaust front pipe. Refer to Front Pipe Replacement.

  22. Remove the 3 bolts and the front damper bush bracket.
  23. Remove the drive axle shafts. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement.

  25. Remove the oil cooler line from the transaxle. Refer to Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement.

  26. Object Number: 1860206  Size: SH
  27. Remove the 6 flywheel-to-torque converter bolts.

  28. Object Number: 1860207  Size: SH
  29. Remove the rear transaxle mounting bracket bolts.

  30. Object Number: 1860209  Size: SH
  31. Support the transaxle assembly using the supporting jack.

  32. Object Number: 1860210  Size: SH
  33. Remove the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolts.

  34. Object Number: 1860212  Size: SH
  35. Remove the left lower engine-to-transaxle bolts near the rear transaxle mounting bracket side.

  36. Object Number: 1860213  Size: SH
  37. Remove the right lower engine-to-transaxle bolts near the front damper bush bracket.

  38. Object Number: 1860103  Size: SH
  39. Remove the left transaxle mounting bracket bolts. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side.
  40. Carefully remove the transaxle assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1860209  Size: SH
  1. Install the transaxle into the vehicle and support the transaxle assembly using the supporting jack.

  2. Object Number: 1860103  Size: SH
  3. Install the left transaxle mounting bracket bolts. Refer to Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side.
  4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1860213  Size: SH
  5. Install the right lower engine-to-transaxle bolts near the front damper bush bracket.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the right lower engine-to-transaxle bolts to 73 N·m (54 lb ft).

  7. Install the left lower engine-to-transaxle bolts near the rear transaxle mounting bracket side.
  8. Tighten
    Tighten the left lower engine-to-transaxle bolts to 73 N·m (54 lb ft).


    Object Number: 1860210  Size: SH
  9. Install the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolts.
  10. Tighten
    Tighten the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolts to 31 N·m (23 lb ft).

  11. Install the rear transaxle mounting bracket bolts.
  12. Tighten
    Tighten the rear transaxle mounting bracket bolts to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).

  13. Install the 6 flywheel-to-torque converter bolts.
  14. Tighten
    Tighten the flywheel-to-torque converter bolts to 45 N·m (33 lb ft).

  15. Install the upper transaxle-to-engine bolts.
  16. Tighten
    Tighten the upper transaxle-to-engine bolts to 73 N·m (54 lb ft).

  17. Install the oil cooler line to the transaxle. Refer to Oil Cooler Hose/Pipe Replacement.
  18. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement.

  19. Object Number: 1860205  Size: SH
  20. Install the front damper bush bracket bolts and the bracket.
  21. Tighten
    Tighten the front damper bush bracket bolts to 65 N·m (48 lb ft).

  22. Install the drive axle shafts. Refer to Wheel Drive Shaft Replacement.

  23. Object Number: 1860204  Size: SH
  24. Install the exhaust front pipe. Refer to Front Pipe Replacement.
  25. Install the engine crossmember. Refer to Engine Front Crossmember Replacement.
  26. Install the engine under covers. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement

  27. Object Number: 1860098  Size: SH
  28. Lower the vehicle.
  29. Remove the DW-110-060 fixture from the vehicle.

  30. Object Number: 1860056  Size: SH
  31. Install the TR switch electrical connector (1).
  32. Disconnect the transaxle wiring electrical connector (2).
  33. Disconnect the input speed sensor electrical connector (3) and the output speed sensor electrical connector (4).

  35. Install the shift control cable to the transaxle. Refer to Shift Control Cable Replacement.
  36. Adjust the shift control cable. Refer to Shift Control Cable Adjustment.
  37. Install the ECM bracket. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement.

  38. Object Number: 1860021  Size: SH
  39. Install the air filter housing.
  40. Install the battery and tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement.
  41. Add fluid to the transaxle. Refer to Transmission Fluid Replacement.
  42. Check the fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Check.
