Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Warning in the Preface section.
Danger: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the
opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.
Note: Care must be taken to apply force evenly when disengaging the lower grille retaining tabs.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
- Remove the front wheel house liners. Refer to
Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement.
- Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement.
- Remove the front fog lamp. Refer to
Front Fog Lamp Replacement.
- Evenly apply pressure to the rear side of each of the lower grille retaining tabs (1), disengaging the lower grille (2) from the front bumper fascia (3).
Installation Procedure
Note: Care must be taken to make sure the lower grille retaining tabs (2) are aligned correctly when installed into the front bumper fascia (3).
Note: An audible "click" will be heard when the lower grille retaining tabs (2) are correctly engaged.
- Install the lower grille (1) into the front bumper fascia (3), engaging the lower grille retaining tabs (2).
- Install the front fog lamp. Refer to
Front Fog Lamp Replacement.
- Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to
Front Bumper Fascia Replacement.
- Install the front wheel house liners. Refer to
Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement.
- Lower the vehicle. Refer to
Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
