Was the Power Sunroof System Check performed?

  1. Disconnect the sunroof control module connector C2.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  3. Connect a test light from terminal B to terminal D.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 3

  1. With the ignition switch is still in RUN, connect the sunroof control module connector C2.
  2. Disconnect the sunroof switch.
  3. If the sunroof is closed, connect the fused jumper between terminal D and terminal C.
  4. If the sunroof is open, connect the fused jumper between terminal B and terminal C.

Does the sunroof move accordingly?

Inspect CKT 141 and CKT 150 for an OPEN.

Is the repair complete?

Replace the sunroof switch. Refer to Sunroof Switch Replacement .

  1. Verify that the sunroof switch is still disconnected, and the ignition switch is still in RUN.
  2. Connect the test lamp from terminal B and terminal D to ground and the terminal C battery.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Connect the sunroof switch.
  2. Disconnect the soft stop limit switch.
  3. Press the sunroof switch either to OPEN or to CLOSE.

Does the sunroof operate?

--

  1. Inspect the appropriate circuit for an open or a short to ground.
  2. If the circuit is OK, replace the sunroof control module. Refer to Power Sunroof Express Module Replacement .

  1. Connect the soft stop limit switch.
  2. Disconnect the sunroof motor assembly.

  3. Turn the ignition switch to RUN.
  4. Press the sunroof switch either to OPEN or to CLOSE.
  5. Connect a test lamp between the positive terminal and ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Replace the sunroof motor assembly.
  2. Did you complete the repair?

  3. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .

  1. Verify that the sunroof motor assembly is still disconnected.
  2. Verify that the ignition switch is still in RUN.
  3. Press the sunroof switch either to OPEN or to CLOSE.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Inspect the circuit between the motor and the control module for an open or a short to ground.
  2. If the circuit is OK, replace the sunroof motor assembly. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .

  1. Inspect the circuit between the motor and the control module for an open.
  2. If the circuit is OK, replace the sunroof motor assembly. Refer to Power Sunroof Motor Replacement .
