Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
2. Remove the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement .
3. Remove the instrument panel upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement .
4. Remove the instrument panel outer trim covers. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement .
5. Remove the instrument panel cluster trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement .
6. Remove the instrument panel cluster assembly. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement .
7. Remove the console assembly. Refer to Console Replacement .
8. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement .
9. Remove the instrument panel center molding assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Molding Replacement .
10. Remove the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement .
11. Remove the radio assembly. Refer to Radio Replacement .
12. Remove the instrument panel compartment assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement .
13. Remove the center air outlet assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Replacement .

Instrument Panel Assembly

Procedure

1. Note location and routing of the instrument panel wiring harness prior to removal of the instrument panel assembly to ensure proper reinstallation.
2. Disconnect the wiring harness from the instrument panel assembly.
3. With the aid of an assistant, remove the instrument panel assembly from the vehicle.
4. If replacing the instrument panel assembly, transfer all necessary components.
