Preliminary Procedures

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
2. Remove the windshield garnish molding. Refer to Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement.
3. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) upper trim panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Upper Trim Panel Replacement.
4. Remove the I/P outer trim covers. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement.
5. Remove the I/P cluster trim plate bezel. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster Trim Plate Bezel Replacement.
6. Remove the I/P cluster assembly. Refer to Instrument Cluster Replacement.
7. Remove the console assembly. Refer to Console Replacement.
8. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement.
9. Remove the I/P center molding assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Molding Replacement.
10. Remove the HVAC control module. Refer to HVAC Control Module Replacement.
11. Remove the radio assembly. Refer to Radio Replacement.
12. Remove the I/P compartment assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement.
13. Remove the center air outlet assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Center Air Outlet Replacement.

I/P Assembly

Procedure

1. Note location and routing of the I/P wiring harness prior to removal of the I/P assembly to ensure proper reinstallation.
2. Disconnect the wiring harness from the I/P assembly.
3. With the aid of an assistant, remove the I/P assembly from the vehicle.
4. If replacing the I/P assembly, transfer all necessary components.
