Removal Procedure
- Remove the trim panel. Refer to
Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement

- Remove the water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Remove the trim panel bracket.
- Remove the inner and outer belt moldings. Refer to
Molding Replacement - Window Belt
.
- Remove the window. Refer to
Door Window Replacement
.
- Disconnect the wiring
harness bracket from the lock assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connectors from the lock assembly.
- Disconnect the inner door handle linkage from the lock assembly.
- Remove the 2 top bolts (3) from the module (2).
- Loosen the 3 lower captive bolts (4).
- Remove the module (2).
Installation Procedure
- Install the module (2).
- Install the top 2 bolts (3)
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Tighten the 5 bolts (3,4).
Tighten
Tighten the attaching bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
- Connect the inner door handle linkage to the lock assembly.
- Connect the electrical connectors to the lock assembly.
- Connect the wiring harness bracket to the lock assembly.
- Install the window. Refer to
Door Window Replacement

- Install the inner and outer belt moldings. Refer to
Molding Replacement - Window Belt
.
- Install the trim panel bracket.
- Install the water deflector. Refer to
Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement
.
- Install the trim panel. Refer to
Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
.
