Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  5. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Remove the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  7. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  8. Remove the door latch. Refer to Front Side Door Latch Replacement .
  9. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  10. Remove the window run channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement .
  11. Remove the reveal molding. Refer to Front Side Door Window Reveal Molding Replacement .
  12. Remove the outside rear view mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  13. Remove the weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  14. Remove the front auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  15. Remove the bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  16. Disconnect the wiring harness retainers from the inner door panel.
  17. Pull the rubber conduit and the wiring harness out through the opening at the front of the door.
  18. Remove all the plastic nuts and retainers from the door shell.
  19. Remove the check link. Refer to Front Side Door Check Link Replacement .
  20. Support the door.
  21. Remove the hinge to door nuts.
  22. Remove the door, with an assistant.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the hinge studplates into the door.
  2. Align the door to the hinges, with an assistant.
  3. Support the door.

    4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the door to hinge nuts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the door to hinge nuts to 34 N·m (25 lb ft).

  5. Install the check link. Refer to Front Side Door Check Link Replacement .
  6. Route the door wiring harness into the opening at the front of the door.
  7. Install the door wiring harness clips to the inner door panel.
  8. Install all the retainers into the door shell that were removed during disassembly.
  9. Install the door wiring harness retainers to the inner door panel.
  10. Install the bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  11. Install the front auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  12. Install the weatherstrip. Refer to Front Side Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  13. Install the outside rear view mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  14. Install the reveal molding. Refer to Front Side Door Window Reveal Molding Replacement .
  15. Install the window run channel. Refer to Front Side Door Window Channel Replacement .
  16. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  17. Install the door latch. Refer to Front Side Door Latch Replacement .
  18. Install the window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  19. Install the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  20. Install the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  21. Install the garnish molding. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  22. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  23. Install the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  24. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  25. Verify proper door alignment. Refer to Door Adjustment .
