Important: Review the system Description and Operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. Refer to Front Suspension Description and Operation in Front Suspension and to Rear Suspension Description and Operation in Rear Suspension.

Visual/Physical Inspection

  1. Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the suspension system.
  2. Inspect the easily accessible or visible suspension components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.
  3. Verify the tires are the proper size. Refer to the tire placard on the IP compartment door.
  4. If the tires are not the proper size, replace the tires. Refer to Tire Mounting and Dismounting in Tires and Wheels.

  5. Measure the tire pressure. Adjust the tire pressure if necessary. Refer to the tire placard on the IP compartment door.

Intermittent Conditions

Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections in Wiring Systems.

    •  Wheel Bearings Diagnosis
    •  Tire Diagnosis - Irregular or Premature Wear
    •  Tire Diagnosis - Waddle Complaint
    •  Wheel Mounting Surface Check
    •  Radial Tire Lead/Pull Correction
