Makes 🢒 Pontiac 🢒 2006 🢒 GTO 🢒 Body 🢒 Wiring Systems 🢒 Gear Select/Skip Shift Solenoid Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the propeller shaft from the vehicle. Refer to Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement .
  3. Remove the transmission crossmember support. Refer to Transmission Rear Mount Replacement .
  4. Suitably support the transmission.
  5. Lower the transmission slightly to gain access to the skip shift solenoid.
  6. Place a drain pan under the transmission in case any fluid drips out.

  7. Remove the skip shift solenoid from the transmission.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 33363 Size: SH
  1. Install the skip shift solenoid to the transmission.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the skip shift solenoid to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  2. Remove the drain pan.
  3. Install the transmission crossmember support. Refer to Transmission Rear Mount Replacement .
  4. Install the propeller shaft on the vehicle. Refer to Two-Piece Propeller Shaft Replacement .
  5. Check the transmission fluid level. Refer to Transmission Fluid Replacement .
  6. Lower the vehicle.
