Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rubber conduit. Refer to Front Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the electrical connectors.
  5. Remove the inner sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Remove the rear view mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  7. Remove the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  8. Remove the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  9. Remove the window reveal molding. Refer to Front Side Door Window Reveal Molding Replacement .
  10. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  11. Remove the pull handle bracket.
  12. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  13. Remove the inside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  14. Remove the lock. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement .
  15. Remove the door frame weatherstrip. Refer to Side Front Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  16. Remove the door window weather-strip.
  17. Remove the door conduit. Refer to Front Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  18. Remove the door electrical harness. Refer to
  19. Remove the door side moldings. Refer to Front Door Body Side Moldings in General Body Service.
  20. Remove the door electric harness.
  21. Support the door.
  22. Remove the door side hinge. Refer to Front Side Door Hinge Replacement and remove the door.

Installation Procedure

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  1. Install the door side hinge. Refer to Front Side Door Hinge Replacement .
  2. Tighten
    Tighten the door hinge bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  3. Install the door electric harness.
  4. Install the door conduit. Refer to Front Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  5. Install the door side moldings. Refer to Front Door Body Side Moldings in General Body Service.
  6. Install the door window weather-strip.
  7. Install the door frame weatherstrip. Refer to Side Front Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  8. Install the lock. Refer to Front Side Door Lock Replacement .
  9. Install the inside handle. Refer to Front Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  10. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  11. Install the window regulator. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  12. Remove the pull handle bracket.
  13. Install the window weather-strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  14. Install the window. Refer to Front Side Door Window Replacement .
  15. Install the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement
  16. Install the inner sealing strip. Refer to Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement
  17. Install the rear view mirror. Refer to Power Mirror Replacement .
  18. Install the electrical connectors.
  19. Install the rubber conduit. Refer to Front Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  20. Install the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  21. Install the trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  22. Adjust the door. Refer to Front Side Door Adjustment
