Important: Carefully mark the parts to ensure proper assembly. Failure to assemble properly will cause steering wheel to be turned 180 degrees.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 17 N·m (13 lb ft).
Important: The steering shaft assembly must be rotated to the center position or 12 o'clock position.
18.1. | Rotate the center of the sensor until the pin slides into the locating hole. It may take up to five revolutions. |
18.2. | Push the sensor onto the steering shaft assembly until the sensor locating finger falls into the slot on the steering shaft assembly. |
