Are there loose components?

Repair or replace the components as necessary.

Inspect the brake linings for the following:

Do any of the above conditions exist?

Replace the brake linings as necessary. Refer to the appropriate procedure in Disc Brakes:

Inspect the brake rotor for the following:

Resurface or replace the brake rotor as necessary. Refer to the appropriate procedure in Disc Brakes

Inspect the brake assembly for loose, broken or missing components.

Are there any loose, broken or missing brake assembly components?

Repair or replace the components as necessary. Refer to the appropriate procedure in Disc Brakes:

Inspect the following brake caliper assembly components for corrosion:

Are any of the above components corroded or sticking?

Repair or replace the brake calipers. Refer to the appropriate repair procedures in Disc Brakes:

Inspect the park brake for improper adjustment.

Is the park brake adjusted improperly?

Adjust or replace the park brake cable. Refer to the appropriate procedure in Park Brake:

Inspect the front suspension for incorrect alignment. Refer to Wheel Alignment Specifications in Wheel Alignment.

Is the wheel alignment incorrect?

Correct the front wheel alignment. Refer to the appropriate procedure in Wheel Alignment:

Inspect for contaminated or improper brake fluid.

Is the brake fluid contaminated or improper?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Hydraulic Brakes

Replace all of the hydraulic brake system rubber components.

1. Flush the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Flushing .
2. Replace all of the hydraulic brake system rubber components. Refer to the appropriate procedures:

•	Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Replacement in Antilock Brake System

•	Master Cylinder Replacement or Master Cylinder Overhaul

•	Front Brake Hose Replacement

•	Rear Brake Hose Replacement

•	Front Brake Caliper Replacement or Front Brake Caliper Overhaul in Disc Brakes

•	Rear Brake Caliper Replacement or Rear Brake Caliper Overhaul in Disc Brakes

3. Flush the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Flushing .
4. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding .
