- Align instrument panel
trim pad to vehicle.
- Reposition instrument panel wiring harness.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install instrument
panel trim pad mounting bolts at the cluster pocket.
Tighten
Tighten the instrument panel trim pad mounting bolts to 5 N·m
(44 lb in).
- Install the instrument
panel trim pad mounting bolts at windshield.
Tighten
Tighten the instrument panel trim pad mounting bolts to 5 N·m
(44 lb in).
- Instrument panel trim
pad mounting bolts to compartment.
Tighten
Tighten the instrument panel trim pad mounting bolts to 2 N·m
(18 lb in).
- Install the air temperature sensor. Refer to
Inside Air Temperature Sensor Replacement
in HVAC Systems - Manual.
- Install the fuse block.
- Install the instrument panel compartment lamp switch. Refer to
Instrument Panel Compartment Lamp Switch Replacement
.
- Install the instrument panel compartment. Refer to

- Install the switch bank. Refer to

.
- Install the ignition switch. Refer to

- Install the hazard warning and cruise control switch. Refer to

- Install the instrument panel cluster. Refer to
Instrument Cluster Replacement

- Install the heater A/C control. Refer to

- Install the radio. Refer to

- Install the instrument panel accessory trim plate. Refer to
Instrument Panel Accessory Trim Plate Replacement

- Install the hood release handle. Refer to
Hood Release Lever Replacement

- Raise the steering
column.
- Install the nuts to the upper steering column.
Tighten
Tighten the upper steering column nuts to 24 N·m(18 lb ft).
- Install the bolts to the lower steering column.
Tighten
Tighten the lower steering column bolts to 24 N·m (18 lb ft).
- Install the knee bolster bracket. Refer to

- Install the steering column opening filler. Refer to
Ignition and Start Switch Replacement
.
- Install the front floor console. Refer to
Front Floor Console Replacement

- Install the instrument panel upper trim panel. Refer to
Instrument Panel Upper Trim Pad Replacement
.
- Install the windshield side upper garnish moldings. Refer to
Windshield Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Install the Instrument panel insulators. Refer to
Instrument Panel Insulator Replacement
.
- Connect the data link connector.
- Install the front carpet retainers. Refer to
Front Carpet Retainer Replacement
in Interior Trim.
- Install the right and the left instrument panel access hole cover.

- Enable the SIR system. Refer to

- Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to
