Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Remove the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the garnish molding. Refer to Rear Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  5. Remove the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Remove the window channel. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Front Channel Replacement .
  7. Remove the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  8. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  9. Remove the latch. Refer to Rear Side Door Latch Replacement .
  10. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  11. Remove the rear door stationary window/division channel. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window and Front Channel Replacement .
  12. Remove the reveal molding. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Reveal Molding Replacement .
  13. Remove the weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  14. Remove the front auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Front Auxiliary Weatherstrip Replacement .
  15. Remove the bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .

  16. Remove the center pillar garnish molding in order to access the door wire harness connectors, if needed. Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  17. Disconnect the door wire harness from the body wire harness, if needed.
  18. Depress the tabs on the door wire harness connector in order to release the connector from the center pillar.
  19. Disconnect the wiring harness retainers from the inner door panel.
  20. Pull the rubber conduit and the wiring harness out through the opening at the front of the door.

  21. Remove the door check link. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement
  22. Support the door.
  23. Remove the hinge to door nuts.
  24. Remove the door, with an assistant.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the hinge studplates into the door.
  2. Align the door to the hinges, with an assistant.
  3. Support the door.

    4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the door to hinge nuts.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the door to hinge nuts to 34 N·m (25 lb ft).

  5. Install the door check link. Refer to Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement .
  6. Install all the retainers to the door shell that were removed during disassembly.
  7. Route the door wire harness and conduit into the door.
  8. Install the door wiring harness retainers to the inner door panel.

  9. Connect the door wire harness to the body wire harness, if disconnected.
  10. Install the center pillar garnish molding, if removed. Refer to Center Pillar Garnish Molding Replacement in Interior Trim.
  11. Install the bottom auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  12. Install the front auxiliary sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Front Auxiliary Weatherstrip Replacement .
  13. Install the weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Door Weatherstrip Replacement .
  14. Install the reveal molding. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Reveal Molding Replacement .
  15. Install the window run channel/stationary window. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window and Front Channel Replacement .
  16. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  17. Install the door latch. Refer to Rear Side Door Latch Replacement .
  18. Install the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  19. Install the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  20. Install the window channel. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Front Channel Replacement .
  21. Install the window inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement .
  22. Install the garnish molding. Refer to Rear Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  23. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  24. Install the door module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement .
  25. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement .
  26. Verify proper door alignment. Refer to Door Adjustment .
