Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the rubber conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  4. Remove the energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement
  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  6. Remove the inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Inner Belt Sealing Strip Replacement
  7. Remove the rear door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  8. Remove the rear stationary window. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement .
  9. Remove the window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  10. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  11. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  12. Remove the lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement .
  13. Remove the inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  14. Remove the door bottom sealing strip. Refer to Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement
  15. Remove the door moldings. Refer to Rear Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement
  16. Support the door.
  17. Use a grease pencil to mark the location of the hinge to the door and the body.
  18. Remove the door hinge to door bolts.
  19. Remove the door from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position the door to the vehicle.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the door hinge to door bolts.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the door hinge to door bolts to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).

  5. Install the door moldings. Refer to Rear Door Opening Frame Garnish Molding Replacement .
  6. Install the door bottom sealing strip. Refer to Door Bottom Auxiliary Sealing Strip Replacement .
  7. Install the inside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Inside Handle Replacement .
  8. Install the lock. Refer to Rear Door Lock Replacement .
  9. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement .
  10. Install the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement .
  11. Install the window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Weatherstrip Replacement .
  12. Install the rear stationary window. Refer to Rear Side Door Stationary Window Replacement .
  13. Install the rear door window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement .
  14. Install the inner belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Inner Belt Sealing Strip Replacement
  15. Connect the electrical connectors.
  16. Install the energy absorber pad. Refer to Energy Absorber Pad Replacement
  17. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
  18. Install the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
  19. Install the rubber conduit. Refer to Rear Side Door Conduit Replacement .
  20. Adjust the door. Refer to Door Adjustment
