Exterior Lights System Check Domestic

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
  2. Place the gear selector in the PARK position.
  3. Place the headlamp switch in the OFF position.
  4. Place the hazard switch in the OFF position.
  5. Place the turn signal switch in the OFF position.

All exterior lamps are off.

    •  Hazard Lamps Always On
    •  Stop Lamps Always On

Place the headlamp switch in the PARK position.

All park lamps, side marker lamps, tail lamps, and license lamps turn on.

    •  Park Lamps Inoperative

Open the hood.

The underhood lamp lights.

  1. Place the headlamp switch in the OFF position.
  2. Place the hazard switch in the ON position.
    • All LH and RH turn lamps flash on and off.
    • The LH and RH turn indicators flash on and off.

  1. Place the hazard switch in the OFF position.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Move the turn signal switch to indicate a LH turn.
    • The LH turn lamps flash on and off.
    • The LH turn indicator flashes on and off.
    • The LH cornering lamp lights.
    • The RH turn indicator, RH turn lamps, and RH cornering lamp are now off.

Move the turn signal switch to indicate a RH turn.

    • The RH turn lamps flash on and off.
    • The RH turn indicator flashes on and off.
    • The RH cornering lamp lights.
    • The LH turn indicator, LH turn lamps, and LH cornering lamp are now off.

  1. Place the turn signal switch in the OFF position.
  2. Press the brake pedal.
    • All stop lamps including the center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) light while the brake pedal is pressed.
    • All turn indicators, turn lamps, and cornering lamps are now off.

  1. Place the headlamp switch in the OFF position.
  2. Place the hazard switch in the ON position.
    • All LH and RH turn lamps flash on and off.
    • The LH and RH turn indicators flash on and off.

  1. Place the hazard switch in the OFF position.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  3. Move the turn signal switch to indicate a LH turn.
    • The LH turn lamps flash on and off.
    • The LH turn indicator flashes on and off.
    • The LH cornering lamp lights.
    • The RH turn indicator, RH turn lamps, and RH cornering lamp are now off.
